Road Trip
Harney Tea is a delightful spot in Millerton, New York. Not only do they have a Tea Shop as you would expect but they also have a wonderful cafe and Tea Tasting Room. The cafe serves an assortment of delectable sandwiches, soups and salads as well as sweets for tea time. My husband and I enjoyed lunch and a cup of delicious "Hunan Black Buds" tea with our meal. I was so excited that they had the option of serving their sandwiches on gluten free bread - a huge plus for those of use with celiac. After lunch we headed around the corner to the tasting room which gives you the opportunity to consult with one of their expert staff, who know everything about each and every tea, and can help you pick one just to your liking. We had so much fun tasting and of course visited the gift shop and were able to take our favorite teas home with us.

That looks like heaven to me. Yesterday, I read in a blog from England about this couple who, after trying many, found the best place for cream tea and scones. And here you are, in New York state. I shouldn't complain b/c we have a tea shop here too, but it is soooo noisy and the chairs are uncomfortable.
ReplyDeleteIt is heaven - the scones are delicious even though I can't eat them anymore. They even serve them with Devonshire clotted cream.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the photos from the road trip. Thanks for sharing.
