I Heart Coffee

My husband and I had a wonderful lunch yesterday at our favorite pizza place called Fat Cat Pie Co. in Norwalk, Connecticut. We are always delighted with the delicious array of speciality pizzas, artisanal  cheeses and amazing wine. As someone who suffers with celiac disease it is also such a treat to have the gluten free crust option for the pizza, all you have to do is ask for a gluten free crust! 

The speciality pizza yesterday was aptly named "The Healer," perfect for the winter season, topped with lots of garlic, oregano, fresh parsley and more! All of those healthy herbs to keep the winter germs away! I failed to get a photo of the pizza and salad we had but couldn't resist the photo below. What a fun way to end a meal with the heart shaped design on the cappuccino, and of course a lovely surprise and a special treat that was completely unexpected! This would also be such a fun way to treat your sweetie on Valentine's Day this year!

Day One of the 2012 GBK Oscars Gift Lounge - Hooray for Hollywood!

It is so wonderful to be participating, in association with The Artisan Group, in the GBK Luxury Gift Lounge in Honor of the 84th Academy Awards (Oscars). All attending celebrities are receiving a set of Fiona Designs' stationery and thank you notes in their swag bags.

Yesterday was the first day of this special event. The fantastic Valerie Guerrero and Nikki Cutro of the Artisan Group worked tirelessly to set up the Artisan Group's display. They also shared some photos of the event as pictured below:

Gingerbread Architecture: An Amazing Holiday Tradition

What is your favorite handmade holiday tradition? Mine are the spectacular gingerbread "houses" that my sister and her family put together every year! They are so amazing in complexity, size, detail and architectural accuracy. In the past years they have created a myriad of different buildings including the Eiffel Tower and Rockefeller Center. I have included pictures below of these fantastic creations, enjoy!
