I just realized this morning that this lovely treasury created by Meetalls called "take a look... or two, or three, or four ... or sixteen !!!!" made it to the front page of Etsy. Dog Silhouettes

For those of you who don't know already I am a huge dog fan. We have two dogs that were both adopted from a rescue group in Texas called The Woodlands Dog Club Park. I was honored to create a custom thank you note for this group. I wanted to share the designs with you. What do you think? I am considering adding pet silhouette cards to my shop on etsy.

Road Trip

Harney Tea is a delightful spot in Millerton, New York. Not only do they have a Tea Shop as you would expect but they also have a wonderful cafe and Tea Tasting Room. The cafe serves an assortment of delectable sandwiches, soups and salads as well as sweets for tea time. My husband and I enjoyed lunch and a cup of delicious "Hunan Black Buds" tea with our meal. I was so excited that they had the option of serving their sandwiches on gluten free bread - a huge plus for those of use with celiac. After lunch we headed around the corner to the tasting room which gives you the opportunity to consult with one of their expert staff, who know everything about each and every tea, and can help you pick one just to your liking. We had so much fun tasting and of course visited the gift shop and were able to take our favorite teas home with us. 

Enjoy my photos from that day, all of which I took with my iphone as my camera is broken. I tried to give them all a bit of a vintage feel. 

Cheetos and M&M's

Okay, so why you ask, cheetos and m&m's? 

Well I have had a rather difficult month and a half health wise. Wasn't quite sure what was wrong and finally found out I have celiac disease. This means that I have to eat a very strict gluten free diet for the rest of my life. I only found out 11 days okay and am slowly getting used to the idea. There is so much to learn - I had no idea how many items contain gluten from the obvious like bread to the ones that are not so obvious. It is definitely a learning experience and I am trying all kinds of new food products. Some that I love and some well - not so much. I eat a relatively healthy diet but do enjoy the occasional junk food which seem to all contain gluten.....

So back to the cheetos and m&m's - well I had a wonderful surprise when I found out they are gluten free! So I have treated myself today to some cheetos and m&m's!!!!
